Abstract submission
In order to submit an abstract, first you need to create an account here.
Authors are invited to submit oral presentation, round table, workshop and poster abstracts for consideration by the scientific programme committee.
Abstract submission will open on February 18th 2010.
The deadline for receiving abstracts is September 25th, 2010.All abstracts will be submited online. Abstracts must be in English.
Authors will receive an e-mail stating that their abstract has been successfully submitted.
Authors will be notified whether their abstract has been accepted by October 15th 2010.
Due to requests for deadline extension, we have decided to postpone the deadline for abstract submission to the 31st of October.
Authors will be notified whether their abstract has been accepted up to 3 days after submission.
Accepted papers will be allocated to oral presentations or to poster sessions depending on the author’s option, number, quality and content of submissions.
All abstracts must adopt the following format.
Oral presentations and posters
Abstract should not exceed 200 words, (without the title) and should be presented as follows:

Body Text
OBJECTIVES. A statement of the purpose of the study.
METHODS. A brief description of the methods used in the study.
RESULTS. A summary of the results obtained in sufficient detail.
CONCLUSIONS. Theoretical and/or practical implications of the study.
Round table session
A round table session provides an opportunity to discuss different approaches to a single theme, e.g. a particular theoretical or research approach or a domain of work of health psychologists. The normal format is a series of brief presentations, all addressing the same topic from 4 – 5 presenters, followed by an extended discussion period.
Short workshop (3 hours)
A workshop provides an opportunity for a group of participants to achieve a specific goal or address a particular problem. It should have a clear structure and require active participation by everyone involved. To submit a workshop you must submit:
1. A workshop title.
2. Name, affiliation and address of the workshop facilitator
3. A summary of the purpose, rationale, objectives and format of the workshop.
4. The maximum number of participants for the workshop.
